Thanks for the comments, Alfresco, Gminniss and Whittler. It's sad to see any animal 'restrained' in captivity and this one certainly looks as if he'd rather be out in the wild!

The white vignetting really enhances the mood. Good image, but it makes me feel sad. Bears in particular seem to respond poorly to captivity.
