Lovely shot - one of my favorite birds. Used to see them a lot when I lived in Maggie Valley, 9 miles away from where I am now and now never see them anymore. But my husbands yard is really now very bird friendly even tho we do put out seed.

thanks for the nice comments, Carol. Wish we could trade some birds :) These towhees have a nice waxy looking dark black beak, that seems to add to their appearance. Like the red eyes too.
