first time I've seen this one, Alex. It's a great capture. Sure miss those little guys. We had one here day before last, Madeson saw it, but I didn't. Made some nectar right away, but haven't seen any sign of the hummer since. Was wondering if it might be an Anna's as they do overwinter in our area. But it might have been a migrating Rufous, enroute to points south. If that's the case, it must have travelled from someplace farther north from here, so has already had a long journey before it even leaves Canada.

Thanks for the great comment Mary,I'm glad you enjoyed it.The hummers this year seemed to come around more often in the sunlight which made for some good shots.
