About This Image

Taken shortly after my wife and I bought our new Canon G9 camera. She is a graphic designer and needed some roses to photograph for a book cover she was creating. This one is my shot. The rose was sitting on an oak table that I grew up with.

Thanks sparkle, lotrraine and Alandra. I'm happy to have so many things from my childhood, Alandra. My parents died 30 years ago, so they have been in our home since then.

Gorgeous image of such a lovely rose, Gary. How nice to have the oak table from your childhood too. Coming from England to Canaada as we did, we have nothing like that from our earlier years, in my family. Just have one or two smaller items that my parents were able to bring with us.
