Attempted number two with photoshop, I took the photo of the Lily today and couldn't think of a better model than Rose.

Five layers and two photos.

I would love some advise re the shading and wether this could be improved.... thanks

You're getting the hang of it, nicely put together. The shadows work well here and add a touch of realism to your work.
