Roots

this reminds me of the quote I read some years ago, "there are 2 lasting bequests we can give our children, -- one of these is roots, the other wings". I'd copied that out and taped it onto my kitchen cupboards at the time, so I could keep it in mind as my daughters were in the teenage years :)
