This brings back wonderful memories of my bird feeders in Michigan, Alandra. I loved watching them in the birdbaths - and always kept sand close by for those who liked to "sand bathe" before preening. A great shot!

thanks Tam, Alex and Mary. The birds do love the water bathing areas out there, - and the larger birds like this robin, do make quite a noise with the splashing, -- we hear it from inside the house when the windows are open in summertime : ) Sometimes the birds are so waterlogged that we wonder how they can lift off afterwards : )
