About This Image

This old house must have a great story to tell. I can picture a large family on a prosperous farm, and then came the Great Depression.

Thanks for viewing!!

I wonder just how lovely it was. I was able to get up quite close and saw absolutely no sign of paint anywhere on the outside of the house. Some of the interior walls had nasty looking wallpaper & some were just bare lath work. I think maybe this farm might have been an early victim of the Great Depression & was lost before the house was finished. The farmers around here don't like to get rid of their old buildings, so that gives me a source of photos and saves them some money. : )

Looks like it was a lovely house in its day. Carol

Thanks to all of you! Originally, the road trips were not planned with a specific purpose or destination. We just drove until an interesting road was found and took it. Now, I am more apt to pre-select an area where I know these old buildings might be found. Old vehicles are another story...I have to take what turns up.
