Nice shot - and you can see it's eye, which is hard on a black subject.

many thanks for the nice comments, Anne, Alex and Carol, always appreciated, and happy you liked it. These male redwings are quite tame this year, so are the females. I like the cheery sounds the males make, sort of a pretty warbling song. Do you get these where you are? There are lots of them in the local fields etc, but the past couple springs and summers, a few have been visiting our feeders. Anne, according to what we've seen around here, our forsythia shrub is behind others! Many are already in full bloom, and I can't understand why ours is always later, as they all look the same to me, and ours is in an open part of the front garden, not hidden away in the shade or anything like that.

Gee, Alandra you are a bit ahead of us in your budding out on the trees. What a clear capture of this blackbird. It's so nice to see the birds out and about isn't it? Wonderful composition and so enjoyable to view.
