About This Image

This bird was shoulder shot, and has been the gentlest of educational birds. She resides at Big Bend Wildlife Sanctuary, Altha, FL with my friend, Betsy Knight, wildlife rehabilitator.

she's beautiful. great photo. Echoing Vince's comment, we have a wildlife rescue closeby too, and sometimes on tv and in local papers, we see photos of rehabilitated raptors being released, always such a wonderful sight. but realize sometimes they cannot be released to the wild.

Very nice portrait May, I take my hat off to people who take in birds,I hope this one finds nature again after rehab.(Unless it is a pet.)
