I took this macro image of a Red Squirrel at our local nature reserve at Alverstone.
The Isle of Wight is an important stronghold for the red squirrel, as the Solent provides a barrier to the grey squirrel.

The Solent is a stretch of sea separating the Isle of Wight from the mainland of Britain.

Jas, they seem to have this extra large finger on each paw, that's something we will have to study on our next visit. Nice detail! I like his stance, seems like he's saying "O.K. guys, now here's the deal..." What was he holding in his little hands? Looks like some kind of trinket rather than food.
