About This Image

While gathering pears on the next block as a treat for my donkeys and horse, I came across several of these butterflies feeding on the overripe fruit,
oblivious of yellowjackets and wasps. The blue is brightly iridescent and when the sun hits them, it is truly all the eye candy you can grasp at one time.
They also love to dine on animal waste. I have a couple of pictures...

May, Nice photo, they are always fun to photograph. I put out a half of a papaya one summer and later that day I counted 22 of these on it! In recent years it seems the squirrels eat everything I put out for the butterflies.
