background with the rocks and also
a purple colored flower. It enhances the Puffins. Nice composition.
There are Puffins off the coast of Maine. I'm not sure if they go
south to Florida in the winter.:-)
Guest - Oct 12, 2004 03:09 AM EDT great photo, lovely birds, beautiful markings on them, especially their beaks --have always been interested in these, since reading about them as a kid, in the Enid Blyton "adventure" books. Apparently when they catch fish, they "arrange" the fish "alternately" in their beaks, -one with head first and the next with tail first, and so on (not sure if that makes sense, the way I've described. it : ) but heard that someplace, years ago.
Guest - Oct 11, 2004 10:49 PM EDT A neat picture! I thought I saw them once in Florida in the winter, no camera with me, but the bird watcher people here told me it wasn't possible. They are such pretty birds.
