Alfresco - Jul 17, 2010 05:07 PM EDT Thanks for the comment, Don. Don't be concerned about me moving Saturn, I compensated by deleting Mars!
donwrob - Jul 17, 2010 10:02 AM EDT YOU CAN'T MOVE SATURN!!! Bruce, you'll throw the whole solar system out of whack! LOL, I've done the same thing! Great shot buddy! And you can even pick up some Earth shine on the moon. Very cool.
Alfresco - Jul 17, 2010 12:00 AM EDT Thanks for the comments, Alan and Ann. This was the view about twenty feet from my back door, including the vegetation, about a half hour after sunset with the sky still in twilight. I think that's Saturn in the picture. Mars is in the same neighborhood but showed up very dim and red, below and to the left of the moon, and it disappeared during noise removal. I have to admit that I moved Saturn a bit closer to the moon to improve the composition.

A.Lovely - Jul 16, 2010 07:06 PM EDT Yes, in the larger image, you can clearly see the silhouette of the
trees framing the moon and star (planet)near by or perhaps not.
bubbalinn - Jul 16, 2010 08:17 AM EDT Very nice photo Bruce... I like how you added the trees into the foreground. I noticed the star close to the moon, I guess I should have grabbed my camera :)
