This is a view of what I think is a prickly pear cactus. Just look, don't touch... The very sharp needles will get you before you know it. The small animals in the desert build there homes under them. It's great protection from the larger critters and even humans.

Hi Ann, Thanks for looking at my cactus photo and leaving a message.. Your reading too fast. The small critters make there homes under the cactus to protect themselves from other critters and humans. No way would I poke around there LOL..
