Consider it done, Mary. And no, I wouldn't consider removing your comment. I did go to the brown, rather than the harsher black in my redo to keep it softer. It's important that we all read the comments and consider other variables. It isn't a put down. It's a learning curve. When I write, I ask people to critique my writings who will be blunt with me. By doing so I take a good, hard look at something that I may have totally overlooked. In this case, you are correct, Mary. By creating a fanciful frame I was taking away from the subject. It was a good and valid comment. But, I will leave BOTH versions in - for now at least - so that others can also learn from the comparisons. Thank you Mary for an honest and valid observation. Vicki

Vicki, what a great capture. There is only one thing I would do differently, I think the frame is competing with the doe too much and taking my attention away from the Doe and rest of the scene. Try it with a thin black frame, then a wider white matte outlined in black....or just a thin black frame and see what you think. Then you can delete this comment if you like and I'll leave another one. :)
