On this image I did erase the background using the foreground color set to black. On a larger background I probably would have used a selection tool on the bloom then inversed it and used the filler (paint can) with black to eliminate the background. Thanks so much for the comments. The southern magnolia is one of my favorites. Wish I could include the scent here.
