About This Image

Looking out of my window I could see the yellow tint on the side of the mountains and I knew what it was, Poppies.. Well my son said lets go up there and do some hiking. I grabbed my camera and we were off. After walking a couple miles up the mountain we made it to all of the poppies. We found a nice rock to sit on and rest while just watching the poppies wiggle in the breeze. It was so peaceful I did not want to head back down the mountain. It was great exercise but today I can hardly walk around the house lol.. But it was so worth it.

Oh,the old body just is not the same anymore is it?I love this shot of the California poppies.Their seeds must fly in the wind incredible distances.Very pretty image, and fun to read story!

What a beautiful photograph! The textures and colors are wonderful. It must have been wonderful sitting and looking around at this colorful scene.
