On a closer look it might be mottled with white, that would explain it, either way it's very nice still, it will be intresting to see now.

very nice poinsettia, Beverly. Initially I thought it had shinier leaves also, than the ones we see here, then looked again and realized it's mottled with white :) -at least think that's what it is
