It had been years since I had seen a pink or yellow lady slipper until this spring when my daughter took me to see the 4 pink lady slippers my son had found near his home. The three of us were delighted. A lovely treat!! Mary's comment portrays the rule for our area also. So you all realize my delight to find a perfect pink lady slipper right online. Thank you, Talsi. Mary, Alandra, and Shutterbug - Many thanks for your comments. We hiked yesterday on a new 600 acre nature preserve that may in the future become a part of a new state park here. We general hike 4-6 miles in an afternoon, and if everyone wanted to stop and take pictures or just look at the wildflowers etc., we might not get out of the woods before dark.

well, I think it turned out great anyway, Talsi. Interesting too, have never seen a pink Lady Slipper. That's too bad they don't include more photo taking along the way.
