About This Image

This was one of a series of photos taken for Marc Mantha's digital photography courses. We were to simply keep shooting the same subject over while using different settings on our cameras. This wasn't my original subject matter, but I had been having problems with closeups so diverted a bit. I edited the background slightly to give the pinecones the theme of the photo.

Thank you, Carol - this was a fun way to experiment with my macro. I was pleased with the colors and the dock's reflection in the background.

great shot! the pinecone in front is so clear. This would be a great one to submit for Jim's Challenge also. The contrast between the dry cone and branches and the background where the green pine boughs and water show, is pleasing also.
