That lilac colour is truly beautiful. As Alan says, the curled buds add to the effectiveness of the composition, and provide a promise of more blooms to come.

Beautiful Beverly!! I love the way the dark background make the flower stand out. And the two new buds makes it fun to view with also seeing the blooms all wrapped up.
