About This Image

This is the view from the Patea Look out. Looking South over the river mouth. The poles in the water are from the old jetty. Ships would dock here in the late 1800's early 1900's. The seas get very rough and there are a few ship wrecks along the coast.

This is lovely and peaceful looking Tania. I'm going to have to practice doing some scenery shots instead of flowers and cats. You have such lovely scenery over your way though. Not saying its not lovely here but you have to go and find it or travel to it. The lack of hills makes it harder.

Along this coastline 2 weeks ago we had a Southern Right Whale up close to shore. We often get Seals and penguins. Very exciting for someone surounded by cows!!! LOL (I live in Dairy cow country)

A great photo. I love photo's like this. New Zealand in the raw - well nearly (without the jetty's).
