About This Image

A shot of the Park Street Bridge linking Alameda with Oakland, California. The bridge is actually bright green in color. Such a lovely color that I almost hated to sepia tone the image. Nonetheless, I like the result. Hope you do to.

Had to crop this tightly. Too many distracting elements (telephone poles, sailboat masts, fences, etc.) if I opened the frame. You can see the top of a fence line at the bottom of the photo.

Great shot. I agree, the sepia really gives it a period feel. I lived in the bay area for 20 years, but I don't think I ever traveled over this bridge.

The sepia is perfect for this image, Ex shot.

Well, I certainly do! The sepia really suits the period feel of this iron bridge, and as I've never seen it I don't know what I'm missing by not seeing the green colour! I love the composition, and it was such a good decision to crop it tightly, otherwise it might have been "just another bridge shot". Excellent.
