Here is one more view of the military painted rocks just outside of Fort Irwin, California. I thought this one was special with the arrowhead looking like real turquoise. If you would like to learn more about Fort Irwin that is 30 miles North of Barstow, California just do a Google search for Fort Irwin.

Hi IrisheaglesOne, It's nice to know that my photos brought back some memories for ya. Some of my family and my wife's family live in Barstow and out of all the time that I have spent there I only went out to Fort Irwin a couple times. I could not believe all of the painted rocks there.

I love shots of this place. Years ago I was given pictures of Ft, Irwin and the painted rocks by a friend who was sent there on the way to Desert Storm. They are just as beautiful now as they were then
