thanks Alex, another late thanks. this guy's showing up again intime for Hallowe'en : ) haven't seen these Great Horned owls lately, haven't been to the same area. But DH saw the spotted owl a few days ago, in the same place where we got the photos earlier.

thanks for the comments, everyone! glad you like the owl pics. The eyes are very "right" for this time of year, with Hallowe'en approaching, : ) I also like the bit of the claws showing under the feathers on the branch it's sitting on. Fascinating birds
