Thanks Don.. Ever since the standards thought popped into my head, I keep thinking about it. I have now lowered my standards even more lol... I noticed on the weather channel you are starting to get some winter. With it getting down to 14 degrees here for two days, the water lines are breaking. The un-insulated line going to by birdbath split. Hi Alex, Thanks very much!! I'm glad you liked this one.. It is always strange to see snow on cactus.

I'm glad the photo will live, it more than meets my low standards :-). It is quite a pretty shot Alan. Odd weather, we have only had a trace of snow here this year, warm and rainey. I'm sure it will turn though. Don

I like the snow on the desert cactus and all - It's an unsusal sight. Here we have only had about 4 days of winter, most of the time it's been around 60 - which is a lot higher than it should be for this time of the year. I am ready for some snow.

Alan, couldn't disagree more with your self-deprecating comment! I think this image really captures in incongruity of snow on desert plants, and conveys the message very well! And the whole point of snow is that it should wash out the colours!

Glad you enjoyed my cactus covered with snow Alandra. It's 6am here and it's 18 degrees. I have the fireplace going along with the house heater, and some coffee and I'm still freezing.

well, to me it's appealing to see the dusting of snow on the vegetation in your area, compared to ours. very nice, Alan.
