My thanks to Alandra, Mary, and Don for commenting. I am not sure what type of mushroom this is, but I took a quick look at a Mushroom book and believe it is shelf mushroom of some type.

Very pretty shroom capture Talsi! They look like what we call chicken mushrooms, bright yellow on the underside. Very good eating if that is them. The outer edges are the tender part, if you cut too far in they get a little pulpy. They only grow on dead cherry. Delicious fried up in butter or oil and have the flavor and texture of chicken. I like the colors and textures you captured. Are you finding any wild mushrooms? Maybe the weather is not right for them yet.
