Guest - Oct 15, 2005 01:22 PM EDT Ganesh, you can get a free Trial of Paint Shop Pro, might be version 9 or 8, and they are quite generous with the time allowed on the trial period. Go to the Corel site and check it out. It would give you enough time to work on this photo, for sure, while you are at home. let us know what you decide.
Guest - Oct 15, 2005 01:04 PM EDT Any recommendations?
Guest - Oct 15, 2005 05:55 AM EDT Yeah, I hope I can do something about it when I finally get back home in a week or two. That is when I will have time on hand...and a computer at home !!
Anyone can recommend a particular tool that I can use to do this? I cant afford photoshop or PSP. Is there any freeware/shareware that will do the trick??
Thanks
-Ganesh
Guest - Oct 13, 2005 12:16 AM EDT Hi again Ganesh, can see what you mean, - on checking again notice that the nice green colour does show up on the edge of the bushes, near the centre of photo. Hope you have success in bringing the colour back somehow.
Guest - Oct 12, 2005 11:28 PM EDT Hi...
Thanks for the comments.
Alandra: The darkened bush area is actually an AMAZING shade of green, in fact, one of the highlights of the photograph. But while scanning, its become dark. I am trying to see if I can find something that will get the colour back. If I dont, I will have to crop it off, like you said !
Cheers
Guest - Oct 09, 2005 06:10 PM EDT Hello, with this photo I queastion what is the subject. My guess would be the people in the picture since you are labeling it portraiture. So to make it better I would move in closer to the people and try to fill the frame with just them.
Guest - Oct 09, 2005 01:12 PM EDT that's supposed to be "darkened" bush area : )
Guest - Oct 09, 2005 01:10 PM EDT this does look like a cool place.
it's a pleasing scene. don't really like critiquing people's photos, but since you asked : ) --
I'd crop off some of the darkend bush area at the left side. And also the horizon should be straightened. If you have MS Digital Photo Suite you can do that, as have had good success with straightening the horizon in my "dogs on raft" photo, plus one cruise ship photo taken last summer.
