old fashioned Wallflowers, captured from the open front window, on telephoto. I love the variation in flower colours on the same plant, especially the "teapot brown" colour blended with the bright yellow. Brings back childhood memories of my maternal grandmother, Emily Lucy.

thankyou, Mary, that's a very good description,- "buttery yellow" - they have a wonderful scent too. Had been trying to buy wallflowers for sometime, and finally saw some this spring. I hope they re appear again next spring

that's a lovely comment, Mary in Kent, thankyou. I do think so often of my grandmother when repeating flower names & seeing them and reading about them. I "hear" her voice, saying the names. Am sure others experience the same.
