About This Image

This is the famous 'Old Church', in Bonchurch, Isle of Wight, thought to have been built on the site of a Saxon Church 1000 years ago by Monks from the Abbey of Lyra, Normandy.
I have always liked visiting this little church. It is very quaint and a beautiful setting for weddings.
Thanks for viewing :)

Talsi and Ann, thanks so much for viewing The Old Church and for leaving your comments. It really is a lovely place to visit; it feels very peaceful there but, because the area was used by smugglers in years gone by, it also has a mysterious 'air' about it. :)

Oh, what a wonderful capture of the church and grounds. The textures and the colors are so enjoyable to view. What a wonderful place to visit.
