This photo gives such an impact. I like it very much. The starkness of the house and land. Oh gee! I just read the discription. Now I understand why.

A lovely shot. We used to live near San Francisco and I saw Alcatraz Island so many times, but never went out there. Of course, there was a time when I would not have liked going out there.

Thank you for your comments. When I went out to the island that day, I could only take one lens on my camera. Since most of the shots would be either landscapes or interior shots, I figured the wide angle would be the best. Definitely was the right choice.

How very, very beautiful!!Pinetree3. The picture carries me to another world, another time. So serene. Peace emanates from the mountain, clouds and water. Wonderful and beckoning for one to enjoy the peace there. A picture to remember!!

I knew the minute I saw the thumbnail that you used the 10-22 lens. there is just something different about the photos taken with this lens. Beautiful! It's still on my list to get. :)
