About This Image

Ohio Buckeye aka Aesculus glabra. This tree grows this acorn thing that looks like a large spore. This was taken at the Murray Park Arboretum, Utah.

Hey! These trees aren't supposed to leave Ohio! LOL, just kiddin of course. The cool thing about buckeyes, Native Americans used to crush them and use them to stun fish in creeks/rivers as they are toxic. I've never tried it myself :-). Cool capture Brian. Don
