The irritating red tide was blown out away from land. Dolphins, pelicans and gulls suddenly reappeared.

Beautiful colors as are most of your sun shots.

Thank you Alandra and Larry, for your kind words. I think a sunrise over water is such an incredible sight and certainly worth getting up early. I had to wear goggles to protect my eyes from the burning effect of the red tide for the first six mornings. It looked funny but it worked! This was the first morning that the wildlife reappeared.

Very nice....I was doing this same thing last october in Maine..down on the beach at 6:00 in the morning and watch the sun rise..beautiful.

missed this one earlier also, Karen. It's beautiful. the colours are wonderful, and the bird in the foreground just adds that extra touch.

This was taken with a Konica Minolta Z20 DiMage. I use the sunset setting and the camera sets itself, does a great job of catching the color when pointed toward the sun. Thanks for asking.

Wow! What camera do you use and which camera settings did you have for this picture, if you don't mind. Inquiring minds would appreciate knowing.

Thank you, Janey, for your nice comments. This was taken on the southern-most coast of Texas.

Thank you, Vincent, for your feedback. I always appreciate that. I was just so excited to finally see birds on the beach. The effects of the red tide made the air unhealthy for all living things.
