thanks Beverly, took this earlier in the winter but didn't see it til a couple days ago :) so was pleased to find it. The birds hear the click of the shutter when I sit at the open window, so that's what he was looking at.

thanks Shreekant, - some people call these "blue jays" due to their colour, but it's correct name is Steller's Jay. If you look at Shutterbug's gallery, or Whittler's, they both have the "real" Blue Jay photos there. We don't get that type of "blue jay" in our area, but they are in other regions of British Columbia.
