Last weekend was the Historic Route 66 Fun Run that starts in Seligman, Arizona on Friday. Then Saturday morning everyone drives to Kingman, Arizona for the afternoon car show where every person in town shows up to check out all the great rides.

After the car show and the sun starts to set, it's cruise night. Everyone drives from one Sonic drive in to the other with people all along the roads watching.

Then Sunday morning they all head out to Oatman, Arizona where the burros run the town, Really.. Then from Oatman they finish the run by driving to Topock where the trophies are handed out.
This is a shot of a really nice Ford that was cruising through the Sonic drive in. I think there were around 800 registered rides in the run this year. I took 358 photos for the Route 66 Wings and Wheels site. The car guys and gals are really easy to please, they don't care if the photo is in focus or anything. If it's a photo of a car, truck, motorcycle, or what ever they love it LOL....
I have a blast because I'm "Car Crazy" and have a nice 1966 Chevy Pickup, and I love photography. What else could I ask for. I'm in heaven at the car shows with the cool rides to look at and my other love photography taking photos of them.

Hi Mary, Alex, Beverly, and Mike.. Thanks so much for all of your really nice comments. I'm with you Mike and love cool cars, I like about anything on wheels. It is really fun Mary, I get like lost in time taking photos and looking at the cars, then before I know it, hours had gone by..

It can be very exciting when you are at an event that is one of your favorite interests in life and to be able to photograph it is just icing on the cake! Very nice photo.
