anne - Jun 19, 2008 09:41 AM EDT A wonderfully artistic great old Church!!! The green plant by the door made an extra welcome to all. I liked the tall and short round steeples. And the really lovely light and shadows!! Beautiful picture.
Art57 - May 10, 2008 11:44 PM EDT Nice work.
Guest - Jun 19, 2006 02:42 PM EDT Hi Carol, Thank you for commenting. This is a little different from more recent efforts at adding light beams. The light beam here is actually a layer that was added and the levels increased. Since then I've added the "Mystical Lighting" filter set to my systems that is more efficient at accomplishing the same thing.

Guest - Feb 01, 2006 08:02 PM EDT Thank you Vicki and Whittler for your kind comments. There are a couple of my photos posted at the website Alex provided too. The above image is a composite with the light beam added as an extra layer. There are four versions of this.
Best Wishes, Doug

In response to Dud's question earlier, Fort Ross was an outpost established by the Russians back in the early 1800's. For more historical information visit this website: http://www.mcn.org/1/rrparks/fortross/

Guest - Nov 19, 2005 11:49 AM EDT Great shot of the historic church!! Is there any thing in particular, besides age, that makes it historic?
