About This Image

This is a straight scan of a Fuji Velvia ISO 50 slide. The image has been un-touched otherwise. I do not consider this to be anywhere near the work I try to achieve BUT this plant fascinates me to no end. 2 hours these blooms lasted..! It was raining and at 2 am on a hot summer's night in Brisbane I finally caught one! Unbelievable plant...fabulous aroma. Try to find one and enjoy!

My in-laws house has a similar plant which has given a bud. Do you know how many days would it normally take to bloom?

I had cuttings of these which died over the winter. I think these are magnificent. Is there anyone who knows where to get cuttings and send them here to FL?

well, it paid off, you going out in the early hours and in the rain, to capture a shot like this! It's great. Would love to see one of these, and to be able to know what the scent of the flower is like. Wonder why it blooms for such a brief time?

The scanner is an Epson 4870 PHOTO. Thanks for the comment - that night would have had to be the worst I've ever gone out to shoot on...BUT I knew these were going to bloom...

Beautiful shot. We have those here on the desert in Arizona, but almost impossible to catch blooming. What kind of scanner are you using?
