About This Image

These flowers were on a pile of prunings from around our property. These pretty pink flowers were in direct contrast to the dead, brown foliage beneath them. I think these are some type of magnolia type flower.

Yes, the brown looked better behind them for the photo than the flowers that were still on the tree did with the sky behind them. The thing is, they had been pruned quite a few days earlier and the flowers were still okay. As you can see, everything below them had already died.

Agree with Meridianz totally. I also like the dry matter that is blured in the background and the soft texture and colour of the flower being very sharp.

I like the contrast you have in this photo. I also like the ragged look of the flower, and the petals that are partially folded over to reveal the more rich pink on the underside.
