About This Image

With one of my photo groups having a panorama contest I decided to give it a try. I drove into town and found a hill with a high viewpoint. This is a view of the old part of Kingman, Arizona. I was surprised at how easy this is to do and will be making some more. If you look at the large view theres train track going through the middle. Maybe next time I'll wait for a train.

Thanks very much Beverly :) Getting fair results from the get go is encouraging.. I still haven't made it out to try for a new one.

Hi Alex, Thanks very much for your nice and funny comment. Hey if we planted a bunch of trees we would all get lost and not know where we were ROFL.. Hi Golda, Thanks also very much for your kind comment. I'm not a lot of help with me just trying this. First I tried to put the three photos together using my Elements program. It came out fair and was a little hard matching them up. Then for this one I used a stitching program that came with my Canon camera. Even taking the three shots all at once at the same setting, the sky was different shades and I had to fill it with all one color. Good thing there were no clouds or I would still be working on it LOL.. It was nice and warm, we got up to 81 degrees. Now a big storm is hitting California and heading our way, so it looks like spring is not here yet.

Heh Alan, great acomplishment,is it a matter of "stitching" together many differnet frames,or is there a program that allows you to do this?It looks nice and warm and dry, something that we in the northern parts are waiting eagerly for.

It looks like you got it,great work for the first time. You need to plant some trees out there so you will have some shade to sit in. LOL
