mikebro153 - Mar 18, 2009 05:13 AM EDT This is an excellent pic of Taranaki with the surrounding cloud and the dark trees below snow level. The exposure is just fine as is the composition and focus. This is a different sort of image to the 'normal' with Fantham's Peak and very little, or no, snow.
JulieMetott - Jan 20, 2009 10:14 PM EDT Woe, it looks like the mountain explodes from the bottom! Nice shot you must have hiked some elevation!
Lulu - Sep 26, 2008 08:56 AM EDT What a beautiful photo of Taranaki!
Cindy - Aug 18, 2008 06:04 AM EDT Hi Johnnyo, I just found this and thought it was taken today, we had a similar look on our side of the mountain today and with a fresh drop of snow, it was so neon white! This is very pleasant to view :)
Art57 - Aug 17, 2008 09:41 PM EDT Nice image.
johnnyo - May 09, 2008 04:37 AM EDT Thanks Jas, looks good on a day like this but when its rainy and miserable, not so nice a place to be in. It still manages to take a few lives a year from un suspecting tourists who try to climb it.
Jas - May 08, 2008 04:32 PM EDT Wonderful shot of Mt Taranaki John! Nice, strong, colouring. :)
johnnyo - May 06, 2008 09:18 PM EDT Thanks Whittler for your comments. I have the pleasure of working very near to this mountain in the gas industry and its changing aspects never fails to make one want to photograph it.
whittler113 - May 06, 2008 05:10 PM EDT WOW!! very nice.
lorraine - May 05, 2008 11:20 PM EDT Very nice John, no wonder it was so cold driving home last night from NP.
johnnyo - May 05, 2008 09:51 PM EDT Thanks Talsi, bit of photoshop enhancement, but I used a polarising filter too. Johnnyo
talsi - May 05, 2008 09:43 PM EDT Good job on keeping the whites, white - Beautiful image.
