I took this photo of the moon as the sun was beginning to go down.

Lulu - Sep 26, 2008 09:38 AM EDT Thanks Lesley. I was taking my daughter to ballet the other night and (not sure if you know Hastings or not) the moon was huge and partially behind Te Mata peak. I never had my camera so just had to enjoy it privately.
Lesley - Sep 26, 2008 09:29 AM EDT I think this photo is great. Well done.
Guest - Dec 02, 2005 09:15 PM EDT I liked this trapped moon picture.
Guest - Aug 21, 2005 06:23 AM EDT Nice moon picture.

Guest - Aug 21, 2005 03:37 AM EDT Thanks Shirree. This was taken at your place the other day. Remember, I hopped out of the car with my camera and just took off around your house snapping. Well, I had been eyeing this moon up all the drive out to your place and I'm so glad I had my camera on me.
Guest - Aug 21, 2005 03:31 AM EDT This looks excellent Lurene! You are right, the branches in frame really detract from the bland looking sky, and add interest to the photo.
Guest - Aug 21, 2005 01:43 AM EDT Thanks Alandra. I have a few more of this moon, one really big and close-up looking and much clearer than this but I don't like the grey background (I think I mentioned this in my comment on your moon photo). I thought that the branches took away from the bland looking sky in this photo. The moon is not as clear as the others I took though. It was visible all day but I was working so could only take a photo a near dusk.
Guest - Aug 21, 2005 01:11 AM EDT This moon shot is unique, Lulu - have never seen a moon showing up so brightly in this coloured sky before, very pleasing, especially combined with that fine tracery of the dark branches, which really "set the moon off". Beautiful. another one that you want to look at many times.
