Guest - Mar 03, 2005 11:40 PM EDT This is a beautiful shot Vicki. You were there at the right time, right place and right equipment.
Guest - Feb 26, 2005 05:47 AM EDT It was as we discussed in group - I was able to get it while there was still light - last night it was after 11pm before the clouds parted at all - hence little to no lunar detail - not fair, Gary - you're out in "Howling Land"!!!
Guest - Feb 26, 2005 03:03 AM EDT Another great moon shot! That makes 5 on the New Comments page tonight. Yep. For sure. Time for me to go out and howl now.
Guest - Feb 26, 2005 01:07 AM EDT This is a great moon shot. It may have been the first time you got it, but trial and error pays off.
Nice job!
Guest - Feb 20, 2005 01:48 PM EDT no dear this was not a lucky shot You have awesome detail in it and it is gorgeous. Can't wait to see your full moon one.
enjoying your work here T
Guest - Feb 20, 2005 06:23 AM EDT Alandra - this was the FIRST time I got clear images of the moon. I grabbed my tripod for steadiness and didn't even use my remote cord, though I did use my circular polarizer lens filter.
I cropped the photo down to where I still had good lunar detail then ever-so-slowly went about enhancing that orb a click at a time so it wouldn't look forced.
Full moon's THursday, I believe . . . I'll keep my finger's crossed that this wasn't a lucky hit!
Guest - Feb 20, 2005 05:59 AM EDT that is utterly beautiful, Vicki. Yes, we are seeing the same moon of course, here, too, these nights, it is gorgeous. Look at it around 2 am as am walking the little old dog down the crescent : ) Wanted to get a shot of it also the past few nites, but think my camera wouldn't do such a good job of the moon as yours has.
