About This Image

In the old days, boulders from this ridge were used as grave monuments. Hence the name - Monument Ridge. The cactus to the right is a saguaro. The highway is called the Bee-Line Highway. It was first built in 1929. It's hard to imagine the labor involved in building a road up through this large boulder field.

The light angle gave you some nice texture on this shot.
