About This Image

My son and I used to call this old abandoned store the monkey house because only monkeys could live there. It is in LaPlace, Louisiana. It is part of history wasting away.

I thought it was interesting when I saw C. Alexandre on top because my first job was with a Charlie Alexandre and he claimed relation to it. Charlie earned his living as a gas station attendant and taught me how to change tires, fill up tanks with gas, check oil, and pay attention to my job as I needed to do so.

Thanks for the comments!! I believe it would be cool if some one would buy the place and restore it to make a museum out of it. It could be the River Parishes museum. We don't have one except for a few plantations that only celebrate the plantations themselves.
