About This Image

I was going to try not to put snap-shots on here but just wanted you all to see my little friends! I discovered them in my 'junky shed' when I went to turn the lights off. There were 4 in the rafters, (one out of view) and 2 in the cherry tree. They had been stealing the dog biscuits.

Thanks Alandra, I have trouble catching up with comments too! The 'big wigs' here in NZ are trying to erradicate possums, they do poison drops etc and lay bait. The last poison drop here killed 4 cattle dogs on our road not to mention the bird life that was destroyed from the variety of other poisons, and they told us it was completely safe. My daughter and I once washed poison from the trees surrounding our house, (I know, we are crazy!) but it was so amazing to see the insects that were feeding on it, and we know what eats the insects. Now they wonder why farmers dislike beaurograts.

trying to catch up a bit here, Cindy :) am glad you did share this with us, as it's so great to see the animals etc from different countries. The possums here are quite different, (except for also being marsupials) but they are not friendly and have very sharp teeth, so I hear.

They are cute Carol and yes they are quite friendly, he main 'mum' stayer is so quiet we can hand feed her. They are quite slow moving on the ground. I see we have a young one in the clan too, hes the one tucked away on the right. Thank you for looking Carol.

They sure look like an onery bunch there Cindy! Great shot! I agree with Vicki 100%. This site to me is all about sharing the things we see and photograph with others who have a love for photography. There are no snapshots in my eyes, well, Mike did come dangerously close one time :-). Don

Cindy, this is a great image. I definitely wouldn't consider it a 'snapshot'. It has so much relevant depth and their 'caught-in-the-act' expressions are priceless. So many of us here at TLF have become 'family' and there are times when it's pertinent to share an impromptu 'Kodak Moment'. I do it rather often when I see something I would like to share. We have a good group here. Vicki
