The Long-tailed Tit is a very small bird at only 13–15 cm in length including its very long tail, which itself makes up 7–9 cm of the total. The Long-tailed Tit is black and brown above and whitish below, with reddish flanks. It has a white crown.
I captured this bird, with great difficulty, near our local nature reserve. Like most small birds, they don't stay around for long, and 'flit' from tree to tree. Luckily, this one perched long enough for me to snap it quickly. It's not the best focusing but was the best I could do under the circumstances.

There is something I really like about this image, I can't decide if its the colour, the way the background is blurred, maybe its just the whole scene. Very beautiful :)
