About This Image

closeup of the friendliest of the Llamas. He/she came right up to the fence, and I was able to touch his muzzle. They have the most beautiful large eyes. Apparently Llamas live for 20 years as pets.

yes, same as camels, which aren't nice at all really, I guess, as my Dad often mentioned, having lived out in the desert for years during the war (ww2). My DH was warning me about the Llamas spitting when the one was near the fence. But I read up on them, and it's something they do mainly to each other, and if threatened.

Sweet and pleasant until they spit at you.

thanks very much everyone, for the nice comments, - Alex, Carol, Beverly and Mary. Am in agreement with you, Carol, as I also find the Llamas very interesting, and have been thinking about them ever since seeing them yesterday. They seemed to be such very nice & pleasant animals.
