About This Image

Today my son took me up to the little mountains where we live. It was around a 17 mile trip with the last 6 miles on a dirt road. After just a short walk we came to a small stream with a nice sized pond. It is strange to come onto water out in the desert. Anyway with the water there was lots of wildlife from birds, tadpoles, frogs, dragonflies, butterflies, lizards, and even signs of the wild burros. Well I got this shot of this little butterfly getting a snack from the wild flowers.

I have always enjoyed these little butterflies, you can sneak up on them and catch them between your fingers with there wings closed most of the time.
