About This Image

Another blanket I've just finished for a little girl, I'd planned to put lavender in to the centres, but the colours available were rather scary, so went with the pink. I knit in the evenings watching telly beside the fire, I'm rather hooked on this pattern at the moment.

A comment was left on this blanket last night by I think a Tess,I also love the pattern and no I dont sell them I give them to family and friends with new babys or little ones that have fallen in love with the as I have being knitting them, you can get then in the States made to order I think. I'm sorry your comment was dropped for some reason.

This blanket is absolutely gorgeous. Do you make them to sell?

I think it might be Alandra, the texture with the raised leaves is just lovely, and once knitted they really are very soft.

back for another look, to make sure I'd commented earlier. Expect it's the texture of the raised leaves etc that the youngsters enjoy. I can imagine them getting comfort from feeling the raised patterns

Thankyou Carol and Tania, I'm glad you like this, I'm off into town later to check out some more wool for the next one, have no idea who its for yet, but I have to have something to do in the evenings.

Thankyou Alandra, my grandmother and mother tryed to teach me how to knit, my grandmother won, I learnt how to crochet instead, knitting is something I've picked up later, I do love this pattern and it's great to see the finished item. I'm not sure what attracts little kids to it so much, maybe the colours, texture, or its just the softness? I havent decided what colour to knit the next one yet.

what a beautiful job you did of this blanket, Lorraine, it's lovely! My Mum always did the knitting in our family, so I never really "needed" to do it. However, I did start an Aran sweater years ago, - got partway up the back, but there it still sits, lol.
